Each year we review our academic regulations to reflect our mode of delivery and the current climate.

It is important that you review these each year.

The regulations include:

These regulations are applicable for all units that begin from September 2021 onward.

If you have any questions about what this means, you should contact your course or programme team who will be able to advise.

If you are currently studying remotely, you do not need to submit an Extenuating Circumstance request but should notify the University by updating your student portal. Remember, all students are expected to join us by the start of the Spring term (January 2022).

Extenuating Circumstances are defined as circumstances which are unexpected, significantly disruptive and beyond your control, and which may have affected your ability to meet an assessment deadline or the level of your performance at assessment.

You should review the Extenuating Circumstances Policy before submitting a claim.
