At London College of Communication you’ve got world class facilities, inspiring tutors – but there’s one place that can take your ideas further, faster. It’s not an app, not a shortcut, and not AI. It’s your course librarian.
Every subject area at LCC has a dedicated librarian, who knows your course, your creative challenges and the resources that can transform your projects. They’re here to help you go deeper, think wider, and find materials that bring originality and confidence to your work.
They’re not just here to point you to books – they’re here to help you discover things you didn’t even know existed.
If there’s something missing from the library that would support your studies or creative work, you can request it.
Send your suggestions — your librarian will try to add them to the collection.
Why you should get to know them
Your course librarian is your creative ally.
- Explore beyond Google: find books, journals, archives, films, databases and visual references you won’t get anywhere else.
- Sharpen your ideas: get one-to-one guidance on developing your topic or research question.
- Save hours: learn how to reference properly, avoid common pitfalls, and make your research flow.
- Access to personalised support: they’ll tailor sessions to your project and help you access resources if you’re disabled or dyslexic.
- Shape the library: your suggestions help librarians purchase new books and materials that keep collections relevant and inspiring for your course.
