Over the 2023 summer break (Monday 19 June – Monday 18 September), there will be very limited access to the London College of Communication building for both students and staff.
Many parts of the building will be closed during this time.
This is due to the need to complete significant building works and enhancements during this time, as part of our annual summer improvements.
Access to the building and the building closure will be managed in different phases:
Some parts of the building will be open for student and staff access, however many spaces and rooms will be closed.
Signs will be in place for areas which you must not access.
*Closed Monday 28 August
Your course team will let you know whether your teaching and learning spaces and classrooms will be open for use between 1 – 22 July.
Technical areas will remain open as usual for undergraduate (BA) students until the end of term, on Friday 16 June.
There will be no other access to Technical Resources for undergraduate students from Friday 16 June until the start of term, on Monday 25 September 2023.

Please note: LCC will be fully closed on Monday 28 August due to the bank holiday.
From late August to late October 2023, drilling works will take place to install a new lift in the Workshop Block at LCC.
Students using the LCC Library and Learning Zone may experience some noise disruption during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.
LCC students can visit and borrow from Libraries and Learning Zones at any UAL site.
The new lift aims to improve reliability, accessibility, and load carrying capacity into the Workshop Block. Works are due to complete in spring 2024.
Further information about the lift installation and any potential impact this may have will be shared with students at the start of the 2023 academic year.
College re-opens as usual. Autumn 2023 term begins.
