Our online exhibition for 2024 is now available, with the artwork divided into 4 interrelated themes.
The annual Language-Art Project brings students together from across UAL to share and discuss all things linguistic and create language-themed art.
There are 18 works in total, in a huge variety of styles:
- In her digital painting 'The Journey of Numbers', Shuhan (Linda) Wang illustrates the evolution of numbers in Chinese culture
- 'An Ode to Reverie Valley' by Noorisha Singh intertwines calligraphy with the Newar heritage of Nepal
- In 'A Dialogue Between Machines' Natthasit Suksangpleng uses video to explore the limits of AI in mimicking authentic, nuanced human conversation.
As well as links to our 2024 galleries (categorised by theme), the web page also has an archive of Language-Art exhibitions from previous years.
