It’s A Work In Progress... is a new exhibition taking place in LCF's Fashion Space Gallery from 13 June to 9 September, celebrating the behind-the-scenes process of our BA students as they get ready for their graduate 2022 showcase. This exhibition aims to showcase the breadth of items, materials, thinking, and props that aid the making of their final masterpieces. Final project work will be displayed at the graduate showcase, LCFBA22 which will take place at Truman Brewery in July, students and course leaders were contacted and registration for this has now closed.
The Cultural and Programming team is looking for contributions from BA 2022 graduates, which include (but are not limited to):
- Mood boards
- Patterns fabric swatches
- Photos of fittings
- Details of the equipment you used the most
- Posters
- Half-finished 3D models and prototypes
- Sketchbooks
- Prosthetic and 3D models of final objects before they are cast
- Prototypes of shoes or artefacts
- Photos of work that show the selection process for BA show
- Documents, presentations and essays
- Discarded garments
We would also like you to send us a video answering any/all of questions below:
- Where do you get your inspiration from?
- How do you like to work?
- When do you know something is finished?
- What is the one thing you couldn’t live without when creating? Is it a particular pen? Design programme? A specific song or artist?
