Melanin Modalities in Fashion and Culture

26 September - 22 October 2022

Melanin Modalities is a term that encompasses how the exhibition contributors’ varied experiences have influenced their work and the way they approach their chosen discipline, from illustration and photography to design and film.

This new exhibition features poignant and dynamic work from leading London College of Fashion staff, students, and alumni to celebrate, educate, acknowledge, and appreciate Black culture and history, through the lens of fashion.

Nothing should be thrown away: from doodles to prototypes, sparks of inspiration will be documented in this messy exhibition that aims to give an insight into what it takes to create a masterpiece.
