Happy International Women’s Day (IWD) to everyone at UAL!

This Friday, 8 March, marks International Women's Day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world. It is also a call to action for accelerating gender parity, fundraising for women-focused charities and raising awareness around barriers and issues.

This year’s theme for theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion. When we 'inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world'.

When women strive for inclusion they experience a sense of belonging, significance, and empowerment.

We have collated a programme of event for students. These resources are not just for those who identify as women – it is up to all of us to fight gender inequality.

Explore the work of women

To celebrate International Women's Day, we're spotlighting our latest Showcase collection 'A Woman's Place', guest-curated by Kirsty Minns, Creative Director and Partner at Mother Design.

This collection brings together 20 projects from students at UAL that relate to women’s lives through photography, illustration, design, fine art, architecture and film.

Get inspired and support UAL-trained women artists – discover them on the Graduate Showcase or through notjustashop.
