🗓 Date: 19 February
🕒 Time: 11am - 12pm
📍 Where: Online, Blackboard Collaborate

Presenter: The Graduate Employability Support Team support you to identify your strengths, clarify your professional narrative, and communicate your value to employers, clients, and collaborators as you take your next steps into the world of work.

🌠 About the Workshop 🌠
Your portfolio and professional platforms are often the first way employers engage with you ! But are they clearly communicating who you are, what you do, and the value you bring?

This workshop helps you understand how to use portfolios and professional platforms (such as websites, LinkedIn, and creative platforms) as communication tools, not just collections of work. You’ll learn how to frame your projects, skills, and creative identity in ways that align with graduate and entry-level roles in the creative industries.

In this session, we will:

  • Understand what employers and recruiters look for in graduate portfolios and professional platforms
  • Learn how to communicate your role, process, and impact
  • Explore how to structure and present work clearly and professionally
  • Build confidence in presenting your creative identity across portfolios and online platforms

The aim is to equip you with the clarity, language, and practical strategies needed to communicate their value effectively when applying for roles, networking, and accessing opportunities not publicly advertised in the UK job market.

🎓 Who is this session for? 🎓
This event is open to final years and recent graduates from UAL. It’s designed for those who already have work to show but want to feel more confident explaining it, positioning themselves professionally, and being understood by employers, clients, and collaborators in the creative industries and beyond.
