The Visible Human Project, initiated in 1986 (USA), aimed to create a comprehensive dataset of human anatomical cross-sections for anatomical visualization and medical education.

27,001 OF MEis based on the Visible Human Project. It traces the life trajectory of Susan Potter, the third participant in the project, her relationship with Vic Spitzer(Director of the Center for Human Simulation at the University of Colorado), and the process through which her body was ultimately sliced into 27,000 cross-sectional images in the NG 004 dissection lab.

Through the story of Susan Potter and the Visible Human Project, the video installation explores death, the transformation of the body as a medium, and the shifting and reconstruction of life’s subjectivity across three different stages of existence.
