Course overview
The History of Fashion Photography Online Short Course offers an engaging overview of photography and fashion through the ages. Students have the opportunity to create a new series of work in response to a historical fashion photographer or era.
The course is designed around a series of lectures, practical exercises, 1-2-1 tutorials and a crit, with the aim of deepening student knowledge of the history of fashion photography, styling and lighting, while supporting them to create a new body of photographic work.
Students will be expected to spend time outside of weekly classes researching and shooting in order to bring ideas and material for feedback in the sessions.

This course is aimed at anyone with an interest in learning more about the history of fashion photography (beginners/intermediate).
It would be a great choice for individuals with a keen eye for detail, entrepreneurs and those interested in learning about photographers and artists from the past and bringing a knowledge of history into their practice today.
Necessary experience: students should have some experience in photography, history, art or fashion.
