Here's our advice on applying to UAL from overseas.

Our community

I had never visited UAL or London before the start of my course. It was a big jump but I'm so happy I did it. UAL allows you to study in a much more hands-on way than most American schools. It seemed like an amazing opportunity and so I went for it.

I believe the main advantage of experiencing the UK model of creative education is that it better equips you for having your own creative practice when you leave education. It assumes you are an artist or creative already, and encourages you to find your own path and articulate what makes your practice unique and relevant to a contemporary world.

As an international student from Turkey, being in London has enriched my experience. It has opened countless avenues because of the people I’ve met, the connections I’ve made and the things I’ve seen. UAL’s diverse student body has also exposed me to many different skill-sets, personalities and perspectives on the world.
