We are thrilled to be hosting a virtual graduation so you can graduate from UAL in style. Unfortunately, we are not able to hold in-person ceremonies for the class of 2021 due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions at the Royal Festival Hall, uncertainty around travel and the easing of other UK government measures.
There will be many exciting ways for you to get involved and be part of this virtual celebration.
Virtual graduation ceremony
- We are working with a creative agency to provide an occasion to remember, accessible from anywhere in the world. There is no limit to the number of guests you can bring along and if you can’t tune in live, you can watch on-demand.
- Many of the traditional elements of the physical ceremony will be there, plus specially created films, guest appearances - including Chancellor Grayson Perry, an interactive photo booth, links to the array of resources available to you as a graduate and opportunities to buy UAL merchandise.
- The virtual graduation platform will also showcase galleries of student work. For the chance to have your artwork featured on the platform, remember to upload to this year’s Graduate Showcase.

Future in-person ceremonies
Students from the classes of 2020 and 2021 will be able to book and attend a future in-person graduation ceremony. This offer will be open for the next 5 years and we will share more information on how you can get involved in due course.
Results released summer 2021
We will be arranging collection days in late July for students who are in London at that point. We will post certificates to all other students.
We have introduced a new field on your student portal in SITS called “Certificate Address”. It is important you check this address is correct as soon as possible because we shall be sending certificates to this address for those who are unable to collect theirs in person.
