As of Monday 7 December, scaffolding will start to be installed around the Tower Block at London College of Communication.

Scaffolding is being installed to allow maintenance works to take place on the exterior of the Tower Block. Works are expected to take place until August 2021.

The scaffolding is scheduled to remain in place until September 2021.

The scaffolding should not impact internal users of the building, however students and staff may notice some additional noise in the Library while installation takes place. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused.

Fencing and impact on bicycle locking stands

Fencing will be installed on a section of the plaza outside of LCC, in the area in front of the Typo Café windows, to create a cordoned off area and ensure safety is maintained.

As a result of this fencing, some bicycle locking stands will be out of use.

The bicycle locking stands outside the front of the entrance and around the corner of the building will remain in use.

Continued closure of Tower Block above 4th floor

Internal maintenance of the Tower Block is continuing during this time.

The Tower Block will remain closed above the 4th floor to all building users until further notice.
