Are you curious about interactive posters or Instagram filters?
Have you ever wondered how they were made?
Do you have an idea you think will make the world a better place?
In this sprint programme, you will explore the basics of Augmented Reality (AR) through the lens of storytelling and activism. For 3 days you will get to know your new teammates and collaborate on designing a working augmented reality prototype for your portfolio.
From learning how to animate to storyboarding, we will also teach two Augmented Reality softwares to get you started on the tech. No experience is needed and beginners are encouraged to apply!
The hackathon will take place on site at Camberwell College of Arts on Monday 21, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 March, 1-5pm. Successful applicants will receive full details nearer the time.
This programme is led by Ricebox Studio, a design practice using creative technology and visual communication for social good. Fresh from the block, Ricebox is composed of four designers from different Asian backgrounds.
The members are Anna Tsuda, the creative computing and user experience whizz, Safiya Ahmed, the representation, accessibility and education expert, Bristy Azmi, the visual design and systems genius and Maria Than, the improviser and illustrator whose signature you will find at the bottom of most emails.
