Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurodevelopment disorders and learning disabilities. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the strengths and talents of neurodiverse people in our community.
Support for neurodiverse students
The UAL Disability Service provide professional advice and support for neurodivergent students. This includes screening and assessments for specific learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia.
Support for neurodiverse staff
The Disabled and Neurodiverse Staff Network provides a space where disabled and/or neurodiverse staff can support each other, share experiences, ways of working, and champion best practice. Social events are held throughout the year as well as this. Finally, the Network contribute to UAL policy consultations and committees to support the development of existing and proposed policies and procedures and their impact on disabled and neurodiverse staff.
