We know how much CSM Technical is there to support you in your ideas and projects. We’ve made over £1million capital investment in Technical this year, so you can do more than ever.

This spend has brought in new equipment and software, new technicians in the team and upgraded our spaces and open workshops.

Photogrammetry: Our full body, multi-camera, photogrammetry rig was introduced last year. We now have Fred Woodward in post as full-time specialist technician.

Physical computing: With £25k investment, we’ve re-furnished the space with state of the art equipment, increased computer power and doubled room capacity. Supported by two specialist technicians, Karsten Goodwin and Felix Loftus.

Digital Knit has had a 124k investment with two Stoll machines and three new PCs with ultrawide monitors.

Open workshops have been upgraded and are available to all on-campus students. They are easy to access via the CSM Technical Moodle.

The Central Loan Store has moved from a five day to seven day maximum loan duration.

We have many new products such as VR Headsets, action cameras, a range of Sony lenses and grip.
