Central Saint Martins pop-up photography studio 2024

Our pop-up photography studio is back for 2024. The studio will open in The Street from Monday 15 April and will be open for bookings from Monday to Friday up to 7 June (excluding Mondays 6 and 27 May).

What is the pop-up photography studio?

Would you like to have some free professional images taken of your work (or even you!) for your portfolio or Graduate Showcase? All CSM students can book a free thirty minute slot with a photography technician in the pop-up studio which will be located in the Street at CSM. No experience is necessary, and you are welcome to bring work in any medium to be photographed. You can also request a professional portrait photograph.

What should I bring?

All equipment will be provided, including a camera, lighting and professional backdrop, but you should bring a 32GB+ SD card or laptop to your appointment to save your images.

Location

The studio will open in The Street from Monday 15 April to Friday 7 June.

The studio will open at Archway 11 - 13 June for MA Art and Science and MA Fine Art students.

Make a booking

Thirty minute appointments are available Monday–Friday, 10am–1pm and 2pm–6pm (excluding the Monday dates listed above). Please arrive to your appointment promptly and wait outside the studio until the previous session has finished. Please make a booking online. Please only book one 30 minute session per person, so that as many students as possible can use this service. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so as soon as possible so that another student can take your slot.

Using models

You are welcome to bring a model with you to display garments or jewellery, for example, during your photoshoot. We advise that all models are current UAL students. If you need to bring an external model onto site, please request permission from your tutor in advance. Your tutor will then need to inform CSM Reception ahead of their visit. Students can only bring one model into the pop-up photography studio.
