Intent competition: integrating climate, racial and social justice

The Intent competition is an opportunity for Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts students to win £250 by showcasing your work while also contributing to the integration of climate, racial, and social Justice principles into the curriculum.

Intent award categories

  • Move with Urgency Award
    Exploring climate emergency, decolonisation, and decarbonisation.
  • Identity Award
    A meaningful acknowledgment of ancestry and identity.
  • Future Thinking Award
    Innovative projects using participatory and speculative methods.
  • Community Award
    Exploring culture, climate emergency, and society.
  • Artivism and Advocacy Award
    Creative justice for nature and humanity.

How to apply

Open to:

  • 2nd and final-year undergraduates
  • Postgraduates and alumni from Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon Colleges of Arts

Submissions:

  • New work or previous projects
  • Individual and collaborative submissions welcomed

Requirements:

  • 1 PDF (5-10 images)
  • 1 JPG hero image for promotion
  • 250-word evaluation on how your work aligns with the award
  • Bibliography in Harvard format

Key dates

  • 20 January – Submissions open (via Moodle)
  • 23 May – Final deadline
  • Week commencing 10 February and 23 April – Tutorials available to discuss submissions
  • 30 May – Winners announced
