Applications for the 2 UAL Creative Computing Institute (CCI) diplomas are open now!

CCI invites current second year students to apply for the 2 sandwich years including the new Apple Development diploma.

You do not need any previous experience of computing/coding to apply for these diplomas, as you will be supported throughout by specialist staff who will teach you everything you need to know.

Become a creative Apple Developer in a year: UAL Diploma in Apple Development

This one-year learning programme designed by Apple and adapted to the UAL context is aimed at developing apps for Apple’s innovative and vibrant app ecosystem. It focuses on software development and app design with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration to empower.

Students who successfully complete the new UAL Diploma in Apple Development – currently running for the first time this academic year – and the final year of their undergraduate degree will graduate with an enhanced degree title, i.e. BA Hons, [Degree title] (with Apple Development) and will be accredited Apple developers.

The most exciting thing is seeing students’ reactions to being able to make an app that sits alongside all the other apps that they have on their home screen. Moving them beyond being consumers of computing technology into a more playful, caring, critical stance that gives them autonomy and sovereignty in the digital world.

Join the 4th cohort of students graduating with creative computing: UAL Diploma in Creative Computing

The UAL Diploma in Creative Computing is a sandwich year which enhances your UAL degree with the computational skills shaping the future of the digital creative industries.

Students who successfully complete the diploma and the final year of their undergraduate degree will graduate with an enhanced degree title i.e. BA Hons, [Degree title] (with Creative Computing).

I wanted to gain skills that would allow me to explore computing projects within my practice. The Diploma seemed like a great opportunity to learn these new skills. Now, my practice has evolved to become more computing-based, and I now have the knowledge to create interesting work in this field.
