UAL Awarding Body is delighted to announce that the UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication has now received 16-19 and 19+ funding from ESFA. The focus of these qualifications is on the creative industries and future-proof skills, combining the best of art school tradition with an innovative practitioner and industry focus. These qualifications encourage all creative practitioners to be sustainable in the work they produce and the impact their activity has on our environment. Sustainability is a key theme woven throughout these qualifications which will encourage students to develop a contextualised and specific creative practice.

The UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication are not on DfE Performance Tables and do not contain external assessment. These qualifications will be eligible for UCAS points and we will update centres as and when we receive further information regarding this.

These qualifications are recognised by Ofqual in England and will be available for delivery starting in September 2020, however all centres who wish to deliver the qualification must have completed the approval process which is outlined below. We are seeking recognition for these qualifications in Wales and Northern Ireland. If you are a centre in either of these regions and are interested in delivering these qualifications, please email our approvals team.
