UAL Level 1 Foundation Project Qualification

The UAL Level 1 Foundation Project Qualification is one of three qualifications in the suite of Project Qualifications.

This qualification is designed to give learners the tools and techniques to understand how to select and demonstrate understanding of a topic as well as research, plan and carry out a project. It supports the development of key skills such as communication, organisation, planning, time management, independence and digital skills. This qualification enables students to become inquisitive learners, developing key transferrable skills that will benefit them throughout their future education and/or employment.

This UAL Level 1 Foundation Project Qualification is currently funded for learners aged 14–16 only. UAL Awarding Body are in the process of applying for funding for learners aged 16–19; however, this is not guaranteed for registrations from September 2026. When seeking approval for this qualification, it is important that this information is taken into consideration.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
