UAL Entry Level 3 Certificate in Art and Design

The UAL Entry Level 3 Certificate in Art and Design has been designed for pre-16 and 16-19 students to support their Key Stage 3 and 4 learning at school. The qualification is targeted at young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Additional Learning Needs (ALN), or disadvantaged backgrounds to prepare them for further study, work and adult life.

The qualification offers students the opportunity to develop personal and communication skills on their creative journey through exploration and discovery. Students are encouraged to explore, develop and apply their knowledge and skills gained from undertaking this qualification that puts creativity at the heart of the learning journey. It is expected that students will be provided with guidance or supervision throughout the duration of the qualification.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is recommended that students have an interest in exploring the Art and Design world.
