Rose Thompson

Biography

Rose joined the Social Purpose Lab as the Evidence and Evaluation Manager in Feb 2024. She is a cross disciplinary researcher, having studied medicine, psychology and the social sciences more broadly and working on a number of personal creative projects involving writing, visual arts and film making. She completed a PhD exploring the psychological impact stories can have on us in 2009.

More recently she has worked in the field of mental health, leading or contributing to a number of projects based in university, community and NHS settings. She has a particular interest in collaborative and creative research and evaluation methods, and has used a range of different collaborative techniques including; coproduction and codesign; stakeholder involvement activities; peer research (training and supporting people with direct lived experience of mental health challenges as researchers); and creative and reflective workshops.
