Community Exchanges : Building Connections Marketplace!

Join us for a day of drop-in workshops, where you can make, play and create. We will have four stations of different activities, you can come at any point during the day to get stuck in. Details of activities are below:

Miki:

Do you need a moment to slow down and explore your creativity? In this drop-in workshop station, we will paint, draw and collage intuitively with natural materials like leaves and flowers. You will take away beautiful mini-prints as a result of your experience.

Bincy:

In this workshop, participants will create a small tactile comfort pouch using a variety of sensory fabrics and materials such as velvet, faux fur, ribbons, beads, buttons, and textured trims. Using accessible techniques like hand stitching, fabric glue, or velcro, each person will design a patch that feels comforting and meaningful to them. The workshop encourages participants to explore texture, colour, and touch while creating a personal object that can be kept, carried, or attached to a favourite item.

Rosie:

Feel like getting creative and connected? In this friendly, laid-back session, come along to paint, draw, or print a greetings card. All are welcome to drop by and design a beautiful card to celebrate an occasion, send a message, or proudly display your creativity at home!

Gem:

Join Gem for Pocket sized Poetry, using automatic writing techniques and prompts to generate words and ideas. Contribute to a group poem, make up a silly rhyme and pour your heart into a love poem- all in one place!
