Community Exchanges: Building Connections Celebration Opening

Community Exchanges is a community engagement programme established in 2023. It supports students and alumni from Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts, and Wimbledon College of Arts in developing and delivering creative activities for local partners and community groups across the London boroughs of Merton, Southwark, and Westminster.

We pay, train, and support our students and alumni to facilitate and design workshops for children, adults, and families, providing opportunities for community connection, professional development, and peer support. It is a space to develop and test ideas that collectively explore inclusive, anti-racist community practice, exchange, and co-production, while fostering and nurturing relationships between communities and partners.

This process-led exhibition will share the story of the impact and value of Community Exchanges within the local community and UAL. Held in Camberwell Space, a place for socially engaged practice and a space connected to the neighbourhood and local arts ecosystem.

So join us, as we celebrate our partners, our participants and all thats been achieved over the last 3 years of the programme. The evening will have live music, refreshments and some maker stalls for you to get stuck into!

Open to all at Camberwell Space, in Camberwell College of Arts. 6pm-8:30pm. Please notify us of any access requirements ahead of visiting.*
