Biography

Fleur Kaminska is Project Administrator for Transforming Collections: Reimagining Art, Nation and Heritage. She is responsible for providing administrative support to the project such as coordinating events and workshops, maintaining records, and administering meetings.

Fleur studied BA English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London, and later completed an MA Museum Cultures from Birkbeck, University of London. Her MA dissertation explored the representation of lesbian identities in photography exhibitions and photobooks in the late 20th century. Her personal research interests lie in the shifting position of museums and national collections over the past 3 decades, including around the interactions between national collections and the societies they are positioned within.

Prior to joining UAL Fleur spent 5 years working at Tate, first in Tate Enterprises Ltd in retail and recruitment roles, and then within Tate Gallery in human resources learning and development roles. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and discovering new queer cinema.
