Biography

Nora Qamar is Personal Assistant to susan pui san lok and Administrator to the Institute. She is responsible for providing dedicated support to the Director of Institute in balancing the management of the ongoing projects. Her duties include managing diaries, coordinating travel and maintaining institute records.

Nora graduated from the University of Oxford with a BFA in Fine Art, where she fostered interdisciplinary curiosity between the Arts and Sciences, specialising in fluid mechanics. Collaborating with Postdoctoral Researcher Dr Sarah Hollingshead, she presented her work at the premier of Soapbox Art & Science in Oxford 2017.

Nora has experience across the Higher Education and Arts and Culture sectors including facilitating in Manchester Museum's new, co-collaborated South Asian Gallery, and winning a place on the Ambitious Futures Graduate Scheme for University Leadership and Management. She has worked at Manchester Metropolitan University as well as the Whitworth Art Gallery and the Musee d'Art Classique de Mougins.

In her free time, she enjoys going to board game cafes and hiking in the Lake District.
