The Square2Cube concept was founded earlier this year, 2020, by 4 current MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise students at Central Saint Martins. The Square2Cube launched as part of a timed project brief in two and half hours one Sunday morning.

Square2Cube is an independent online exhibition platform, supporting and promoting work by artists studying at the University of the Arts London.

The platform promotes individual artists and their work through affordable, accessible online art raffles as well as additional media exposure through ‘meet the artist’ spotlights and profile-raising engagement via the dedicated Instagram and website

The platform's overarching mission is to bring together artworks of known and emerging artists from the University of the Arts of London to the established international art community.

We are committed to the long-term sustainable integration of art within the wider University of the Arts of London community by creating effective partnerships and initiatives to support and raise awareness of artists and alumni profiles. We aim to encourage art enthusiasts to start building their own art collection by exposing them to affordable art, whilst simultaneously promoting and supporting fellow artists as part of the UAL community.

— Square2Cube, 2020

After a highly successful launch in September, Square2Cube recently held a second edition Christmas raffle and is actively seeking new talent to join and support our platform.

Editions - Online Art Raffle

We strive to serve the international community through affordable, online visual art raffle editions. The raffle takes place online through the exhibit of an artwork curated by Square2Cube, that will allow the artist to not only display his/her work, but also to receive a monetary compensation. To summarise, the proceeds of the raffle will support our ongoing operations as well as the participating artist.

Each ticket holder becomes a patron, while the artists are provided with a platform and the funding to begin or further their careers. Each raffle guarantees the winner will receive an original or reproduction of an artwork, determined by a digitally randomised lottery selection. This way, the artist utilises the opportunity of being discovered by a wider audience and participants have the chance to own an affordable artwork.

Gallery – Artist Showcase

Along with the periodical raffle, Square2Cube also facilitates an online gallery where interested artists within the UAL community can showcase their products.
