Currently welcoming current RNUAL PhD students/ PhD Alumni.

Led by PhD students, this is a sociable and supportive place for PhD students to come together as a community, to socialise or to study and help each other through their PhD journey.

What to Expect?

In each session, we will discuss a particular topic or shared concerns, including areas such as Application for Registration, Ethics Application, Confirmation, Skills Sharing, Presentation Practices, and open discussions. This platform provides an opportunity to network, present your research ideas, discuss your academic progress, and address any challenges that can be supported through peer-to-peer interaction.

PhD Tea and Chat is an inclusive gathering open to ALL current UAL PhD students and PhD Alumni from ALL six colleges and at ALL stages in their research degree. This environment facilitates connections with individuals who may have both similar and diverse experiences, enriching your PhD journey.

We are aiming to come together online and/or in person, once every two weeks for 1-2 hours. Currently, we are holding the meetings at the UAL Doctoral School (272 High Holborn London WC1V 7EY), but we also have hybrid sessions via Teams.

We also have Teams Channel and WhatsApp groups for discussions and chat between meetings. Simply get in touch with the core leaders.

You can join PhD Tea and Chat at any point in the year and any point during your PhD.
