Congratulations to the graduating class of 2025 – you did it! #UALGrads2025

This year’s 12 graduation ceremonies lit up the Royal Festival Hall from 15 - 18 July, as over 6,400 UAL graduates danced, strutted and skipped their way across the stage in celebration of completing their degrees. Adding to the joyful energy, graduates from the London Contemporary Dance School brought their own flair as they joined one of Central Saint Martins' ceremonies.

The ceremonies were a true celebration of creativity, with student artwork displayed on auditorium screens and specially commissioned graduation films showcasing talent from across all our Colleges and Institutes. Graduates and their guests were treated to inspiring speeches from 13 incredible student speakers and honoraries, including the London Contemporary Dance School’s own Paloma Faith.

This year, the graduation programme, designed by Kind Studio, was made entirely digital to reflect UAL’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

We are graduating into a world that doesn’t always understand us. A world that often wants quick answers, clean categories, logical paths. But we are not linear. We are not here to be understood—we are here to create understanding. To shape new stories. To craft new futures. When people ask us what we’ll do next, maybe we don’t need a perfect answer. Maybe we just need to keep going, to keep imagining something stranger, softer, bolder. To keep failing forward.
