Upcycled Keychain Making

  • Location

London College of Fashion, 105 Carpenters Road, London E20 2AR

  • Date
Explore creative reuse through upcycled making, design your own keychain, and leave with a handmade accessory.

This event is open to London College of Fashion students only as part of the LCF Welcome Events 2026 series.

Join artist and maker Tiana Esparon for a hands-on workshop where you'll transform reclaimed fabrics, buttons and textile offcuts into a one-of-a-kind keychain. Take a break from the Welcome Week whirlwind, meet fellow students, and create something uniquely yours.

Experiment with colour, texture and shape, customise your design with fabrics and embellishments, and leave with a handmade accessory ready to hang from your freshly collected UAL lanyard, keys or bag.

In this workshop you'll:

  • Design and create your own upcycled keychain
  • Reimagine textile waste through creative making
  • Personalise your piece with fabrics, buttons and decorative details
  • Take home a unique handmade accessory

Tiana's practice centres on sustainability, craftsmanship and conscious making. Having delivered workshops at organisations including the V&A, Somerset House, Selfridges, Soho House and Black Girl Fest, she encourages people to think differently about clothing, textiles and the value of making things by hand.

All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Date/time: Monday 21 September, 1-3pm
Location: 4th Floor Student Hub, London College of Fashion, 105 Carpenters Road, Stratford, E20 2AR
