This session will introduce the practical foundations of working for yourself, including how to identify customers, price your work, and manage your time effectively.

  • Using your strengths and passions as the foundation for a business idea 

Outcomes 

You will understand the key considerations involved in offering a product or service, working with clients, and managing the practical realities of self-employment and begin to self assess if an initial idea has potential to become a viable proposition.

Frances Odell, Head of Graduate Futures Consultants: Frances is a results-oriented accredited chartered Business Consultant with over 35 years of professional experience working with large corporates, SMEs and start - up businesses across the Fashion Industry. She is an accredited Business Coach and Senior Fellow. Her focus has been applying both her product and service development expertise along with strategic market analysis and positioning, supporting companies spot business opportunities.
