AMPLIFY is a creative writing workshop inspired by Black History Month, celebrating the rich, complex and powerful stories of London’s people and communities.

This is a space to explore your story, your history and your voice in a way that suits you.

Together, we’ll uncover family stories, dig into community histories and explore the moments, memories and experiences that have shaped us. You might transform a personal experience into powerful poetry, memoir or a story or simply put words on the page for the first time.

No previous writing experience is needed. Whether you’ve never written before or you’re already filling notebooks with ideas, AMPLIFY is about giving you the space, confidence and encouragement to tell the stories that matter to you.
