Create dioramas with Kaweewat Chanchitfa (MA Fine Art: Computational Arts) in this workshop exploring what home means.

What does it mean to feel at home?

Building on Kaweewat Chanchitfa's (MA Fine Art: Computational Arts) work with dioramas, this workshop invites participants to explore what home means by creating miniature homes. Participants will approach the idea of home from different perspectives, imagine and build their dream home.

Through architectural modeling, diorama construction, child play, and personal reflection, participants will consider what makes a place feel like home. Is it a physical space, a person, a familiar neighbourhood, or a feeling of belonging? What elements make a house feel like home, and what might be missing from the home we dream of?

Please note: Participants must be aged 18+.
This event will be recorded.

This event is part of Dispersion, a celebration of practice-led research across a vibrant spectrum of material and energetic forms, hosted by MA Fine Art Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, in the South London Gallery’s Clore Studio.

Dispersion recalls the diffusion of ideas, the dissolving of boundaries, and the interactive forces that shape art practice; not oriented towards a singular object or event but engaged in an ongoing process of transformation. At the end of fifteen months of concentrated research, the final gathering of this MA Fine Art cohort stages an experiment in dispersion via publication, performance, and participation.

Featuring a daily public programme of performances, screenings, talks and workshops, alongside artist books, essays, and zines. With work by graduating students from MA Fine Art: Computational Arts, MA Fine Art: Drawing, MA Fine Art: Painting, MA Fine Art: Printmaking, MA Fine Art: Photography, and MA Fine Art: Sculpture.

You are welcome to drop in any time to explore the work on display. Events are free to attend and open to all (18+). Explore the rest of the Dispersion programme here.
