Our Influencer and Celebrity Marketing short course is a broad introduction into how brands work with high profile personalities. An influencer or celebrity endorsement for a brand can make a real difference in media coverage and public awareness. Well known names can set an example that others will follow, and add unique value to a campaign or brand.

The course is designed for you if you work on publicity, charity or marketing projects that could get value from the power of an influencer or a celebrity. Through a series of case-studies and discussions you will learn the ways you can work with relevant people to get your message to a large audience.

By exploring trends and practices you will learn how to engage celebrities with campaigns and creative ideas. Through taking part in practical exercises you will learn how to approach celebrities, develop ideas around celebrities, or find the right influencer to work with your brand.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Write influencer and celebrity pitch documents
  • Recruit a celebrity for your project
  • Identify appropriate, influential celebrities
  • Work with influencers and celebrities to promote campaigns/brands
  • Build a "little black book" of celebrity and industry contacts

This course is designed for brand managers, product developers, content creators and charity campaign executives. It is also perfect for you if you want to make a career in the media.

Level
Beginner. You do not need any prior experience.

  • As long as you attend a minimum of 80% of your classes, we will provide you with a certificate of attendance. 
  • We always recommend you attend all of the classes so that you get the most out of the experience! 
  • Certificates are great to complement your cv. 

This course is scheduled to run on campus in a face-to-face delivery format. Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic situation this course may be adapted in line with UK government guidance or other operational requirements. This may include changing course location (to another UAL site), cancellation of the course, or moving part or all of the course online.
