Short course
Introduction to Cinema 4D Online Short Course
Course description
Course overview
Cinema 4D is a powerful tool for creating professional 3D visuals and animation for branding, product storytelling, motion graphics and digital content.
This online course provides an introduction to the software, guiding you through a practical, step-by-step workflow from a blank scene to a finished render. Through a combination of short demonstrations, guided exercises and supported independent practice, you will learn how to navigate the interface, build and organise scenes, model using core tools and work with cameras, lights and materials.
You will also explore the foundations of animation - keyframes, timing and simple loops - so you can bring your designs to life. For rendering, the course includes a brief introduction to Redshift so you can produce clean, high-quality outputs and understand the basics of a modern render workflow.
Across the course you will develop a few mini projects (still images or short animated loops), with time for group feedback and troubleshooting each week. You should expect to spend 2-4 hours outside of class practising and completing short tasks between sessions. By the end of the course, you will have a confident understanding of Cinema 4D’s core concepts and a repeatable process you can apply to future projects.
Who this course is for
This course is for creatives who want to start using 3D in their practice (beginners), including graphic designers, illustrators, content creators, motion designers, photographers, brand designers, and students exploring digital making.
Students should have basic computer literacy (file management, installing software), but no prior 3D experience is required. Familiarity with any Adobe/creative software and basic design principles would be helpful but is not required.
