What we need
UAL Short Courses Ltd is the ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data that you provide to us. We are required to collect a range of personal data about you as well as passport information (if you’re travelling from overseas), a copy of your CV and links to your Flickr online portfolio.
Why we need it
We need to collect your personal data, be able to view your online portfolio and review your CV in order to fulfil our contract of services with you in line with our standard booking terms and conditions. This will be processed under GDPR legal basis 6(1)b ‘necessary for the performance of a contract’. We are required by law to gather information regarding nationality and passport status to comply with UKVI regulations.
What we do with it
Information provided by you at the point of application is processed by our staff in the UK and hosted by our third party data processor SurveyMonkey Inc, outside of the EU, who are compliant with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.
How long we keep it
We will keep your personal information for a period of 6 years from the end of your course in accordance with our records retention schedule, after which time it will be permanently deleted from our systems as well as third party provider’s systems. We are required to retain specified documents for Tier 4 students in accordance with Appendix D of the Tier 4 Sponsor Guidance provided by the Home Office.
