Here at UAL, we have specially designed ‘Quiet Spaces’ that you can use for a variety of purposes such as prayer, personal reflection or wellbeing requirements. We recognise the importance of providing safe and comfortable spaces for students, staff and visitors to use. Everyone can make use of the facilities and we are pleased to say that every College has at least 1 Quiet Space available.
Types of Quiet Spaces
There are 3 different types of Quiet Spaces and it’s important to understand what they are and where to find them.
Multi-faith Room
These rooms are designed for prayer and personal reflection, for people of all religions and world views to use.
Wellbeing Room
These rooms are designed for health, wellbeing or disability-related reasons, as well as nursing or to express milk.
Multi-faith and Wellbeing Room
These rooms are multi-purpose and are to be used for all aforementioned purposes.
Using the Quiet Spaces
There are user guides displayed in each space which go into detail on how to use the spaces correctly, along with best practice and information on who to contact should you have an issue or feedback to pass along. We ask that you are considerate of others who use the space and leave it as you found it.
