The Associates 2021

Join our student collective, a funded opportunity to share sights, sounds and stories from inside the College.

Do you write, make films, take photographs, make podcasts, create exhibitions or tell stories? Become an Associate, join a group of students working with staff to capture and share life from inside Central Saint Martins.

In our pilot run in the Summer term we photographed loads of happenings and work, created films and even helped you find your way around the building by creating maps and new signage! The collective meets fortnightly throughout the year and works on a range of projects (some self-directed, others as set briefs).

Deadline for applications: 31 October 2021

Eligibility: All current students at Central Saint Martins are welcome to apply.

Payment: The Associates will be paid through ArtsTemps up to £1,000 for work delivered throughout the course of the year.

We will then make a shortlist for interview in November.

Already know the stories you’d like to share? That’s great.

Not quite sure but want to be involved? That’s fine too. The Associates is a collaborative and supportive group, our work begins with a conversation.

Subjects could be anything: life in London, creative practice, collaboration, inequality and social justice, sustainability, cultural exchange, a day in the life of a student, making etc.

Format could be anything: written, photographic, sound-based, film, animation, graphic, social media series, etc.
