As we celebrate Black History Month, our catering provider BaxterStorey have once again put on a special themed menu to champion the flavours of Black cultures around the world.
What’s on the menu?
- Guyanese pork or vegetable pepper pot served with cook up rice & bhaji (sauteed spinach) Add on, Clapped paratha, customisable sauces, hot sauce, green seasoning, tamarind chutney.
- Ghanaian-inspired fried pork belly with shito or red bean stew served with jollof rice and iceberg, cucumber and tomato salad, dressed with salad cream. Why not add on some fried plantain or Tatale (plantain pancake)?
- Southern US southern fried chicken breast or southern fried jackfruit served with 4 cheese macaroni and collard greens. Add-ons include corn on the cob and jalapeno and sweetcorn cornbread muffin.
- South African-inspired lamb or vegetable mince Bobotie served with yellow rice and chakalaka (crunchy vegetable relish) sambal and raita.
- Canteens will also be serving a refreshing mixed fruit punch throughout the month. Enjoy a tropical blend of passion fruit, mango, pineapple and citrus with your meal.
