Hede Meisehen, MA Fashion Design and Technology Womenswear 2013, is to show her MA Collection, ‘SENSATION – perceptual experience of clothing’, at Berlin Fashion Week this July.
The collection which is designed to involve the viewer and wearer in a sensory experience through shimmering surfaces and minimalistic forms, was Hede’s final MA project which she finished in February 2013.
Darren Cabon, Course leader of MA Fashion Design and Technology Menswear, spoke of Hede’s success:
“We’re very proud of Hede getting to show her MA collection in her own country. She is the greatest of purists and this is a great achievement for her Germanic approach to minimalism and the female form.”
Hede joins the list of other German fashion designers who feature as LCF alumni including Tanja Glissman who was named as one to watch by Shortlist magazine, Svenn Hoppe who won ‘Best Collection of the Year 2010’ at the V&A, and Jurgen Bertsch who won the Ringstrassen-Galerien Designer Award in 2010.
