A couple of weeks ago we posted an interview with Jukhee Kwon, a recent MA Book Arts graduate. You can now see her work in “The World of Extraordinary Objects” exhibition at October Gallery, London. The exhibition runs until 13 April, 2013. Jukhee, who studied in Korea but earned her MA in Book Arts from Camberwell, twists and moulds abandoned and disused books until the pages are shredded into “book sculptures.”
Her work will be shown alongside Remy Jungerman, the Surinam-born, Netherlands-based multimedia artist and Gyeong Yoon An who won the Asia Artist Award last year, reinterpreting icons in sculptural spins on contemporary society and sculpture.
Do get down to October Gallery before the exhibition closes if you can!
