Biography
Rob joined UAL in May 2022 from the Cabinet Office where he was Director & Chief Operating Officer of the Cabinet Secretariat, responsible for the effective operation of cabinet government. His role involved advising senior ministers and the Cabinet Secretary.
As a senior civil servant, his previous policy experience included the economy, business, trade, technology, higher education and culture portfolios, and the resilience of the UK’s finance sector.
As University Secretary, Rob is responsible for the governance of the University, its subsidiaries and associated bodies. He also leads the Chair of Court and President & Vice-Chancellor’s Office, and acts as UAL Senior Information Risk Officer.
