University of the Arts London (UAL) has continued to rise in the Guardian University Guide ranking - progressing from 45 four years ago to 26, 19 and now 15, its highest ever ranking.

UAL continues to be the leading art and design specialist institute and is one of the biggest risers in this year’s University Guide.

The Guardian uses a number of measures of performance, covering all stages of the student life cycle including entry standards, student-staff ratios, continuation, student satisfaction, value-added and career prospects.

In the past year, UAL has completed the multimillion-pound redevelopment of Wimbledon College of Arts, begun construction on a new campus for London College of Communication, and completed construction on its new campus for London College of Fashion, which will open to students later in September. UAL is also recognised globally as a leader in art and design education. It has been ranked 2nd in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 for art and design.
