Following the recent announcement of UAL’s rise in the Guardian’s University League Table 2022, the University has risen 31 places in The Times and The Sunday Times’ Good University Guide 2022. UAL ranks 8 in London and 52nd out of 135 universities in the UK - making us one of the top risers in this year’s rankings.

The Times and The Sunday Times’ Good University Guide 2022 provides a comprehensive guide to higher education in Britain, evaluating universities on several metrics including:

  • Student satisfaction with teaching quality and student experience
  • Entry standards
  • Research quality
  • Graduate prospects
  • Social inclusion rankings.

James Purnell, UAL President & Vice-Chancellor, shared his great pride in and thanks to colleagues and students commenting:

“This is a fantastic achievement for the UAL community. I am incredibly proud that the dedication and innovation of our staff and students are being recognised in these rankings. UAL continues to grow in stature, with our staff and students at the forefront of tackling some of the biggest challenges of our time. We are dedicated not only to delivering outstanding teaching and facilities but creating a University with social purpose at its core – our positive impact felt well beyond our campuses.”

The full Good University Guide 2021 is available online now (paywall). A 96-page special print edition of The Sunday Times on 19 September.
