UAL India £5,000 Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship reduces the tuition fee by £5,000 for eligible postgraduate offer holders from India.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet all criteria.

1. Home address

Have a home address in India for the duration of your course application.
This means you must have a home address in India at the time of submitting your course application through to being invited to enrol (if you receive and accept a study offer); and

2. Study offer

Receive a study offer for one or more of the following postgraduate courses starting in the 2027/28 academic year:

Our UAL India £5,000 Postgraduate Scholarships are available on a select number of postgraduate courses, chosen for their connection to India's growing creative industries and the skills needed to build a career within them.

Apply

We’ll assess your eligibility from the information provided during your course application. You won’t need to make a separate scholarship application or ask to be considered.

We recommend making your course application as soon as you’re ready. Study places are limited within each application round.

Receiving payment

If your course application is successful, your study offer letter (sent by email) will show a £5,000 reduction in the tuition fee owed and confirm the deduction is because you’ve been awarded a UAL India Postgraduate Scholarship.

To remain eligible for the scholarship, you must:

  • have confirmation of the scholarship award in your study offer letter
  • retain a home address in India until you’re invited to enrol
  • accept your study offer by the deadline given to you
  • achieve an unconditional study place by the deadline in your offer letter
  • meet the visa and immigration requirements for study in the UK
  • enrol to start in the 2027/28 academic year.

If at any time before you’re invited to enrol you no longer meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, you must notify us immediately using your UAL Portal.

UAL reserves the right to withdraw an allocated scholarship if eligibility criteria are subsequently found not to apply. Read our Student Fees Policy for full terms.

Combining scholarships and discounts

A UAL India £5,000 Postgraduate Scholarship can be combined with the UAL Postgraduate Progression Discount. Where eligible, the combination will be applied at time of study offer. The 20% UAL Postgraduate Progression Discount will be taken off the original tuition fee. The discounted tuition fee will be further reduced by £5,000 with the UAL India Postgraduate Scholarship.

If you’re offered any other scholarship published on the UAL website, whether that can be used in combination with the UAL India Postgraduate Scholarship will be subject to the terms of the other scholarship.

If a scholarship can’t be combined with others, you must confirm which scholarship you want to accept by the deadline given to you. When you’ve chosen one scholarship, we may withdraw your other scholarship offers and/or acceptances. Any tuition fee deductions applied for withdrawn scholarships will no longer apply and you will be liable for the fee amount owed.
