Drop-in advice for students now available in LCC’s Information Centre

Starting from 13 January, LCC students have an opportunity to meet various LCC staff teams in-person in the Information Centre.

Staff members from across LCC will be available throughout the spring term to help with student queries, offer advice and talk about the wide range of services their teams are providing to the wider LCC community.

Please note: Teams would be operating on a weekly schedule; please check the team you are hoping to speak to is available to answer your questions before heading to the Information Centre.

Mondays: Technical Resources

  • 11am – 1pm
  • 2 – 4pm

Tuesdays: Academic Support

  • 2 – 4.30pm

Find out about the tutorials Academic Support has to offer as well as LCC's Peer Mentoring scheme.

Wednesdays: Academic Support & Student Experience

Academic Support

  • 10am – 12pm

Student Experience (fortnightly)

A drop-in to find out about Student Experience will operate on a fortnightly basis:

  • Wednesday 29 January, 1.30 – 3.30pm
  • Wednesday 12 February, 1.30 – 3.30pm
  • Wednesday 26 February, 1.30 – 3.30pm
  • Wednesday 12 March, 1.30 – 3.30pm

Discuss any aspects of LCC that could be improved and offer a space to address concerns regarding:

  • Academic experience
  • Social ideas
  • Online content
  • Facilities at LCC

Thursdays: IT / Accommodation

IT and Accommodation teams will rotate on a weekly basis:

IT

  • Thursday 30 January, 9am – 12pm and 1 – 5pm
  • Thursday 13 February, 9am – 12pm and 1 – 5pm
  • Thursday 27 February, 9am – 12pm and 1 – 5pm
  • Thursday 13 March, 9am – 12pm and 1 – 5pm

Get support with IT issues and requests that are handled by the IT Service Desk and the wider Digital and Technology team, including:

  • Urgent IT system/service issues
  • Password reset problems
  • Reporting faults or incidents
  • Office 365 support
  • Multi-Factor Authentication
  • and more

Accommodation

  • Thursday 6 February, 9am – 5pm
  • Thursday 20 February, 9am – 5pm
  • Thursday 6 March, 9am – 5pm
  • Thursday 20 March, 9am – 5pm
