Saturday 25 June 2016 saw the 12th annual Open House event take place at Camberwell College of Arts on the last day of the FdA, Undergraduate and MA Conversation Summer Shows.
This year, Open House was bigger and better than ever before, taking place over Camberwell’s two sites; Peckham Road and Wilson Road.
We welcomed over 1,000 visitors to the College to take part in art and design workshops, all run by Camberwell’s staff and students. This year Open House ran our ever-popular T-Shirt Screenprinting, Darkroom Experience and Letterpress workshops, alongside some brand new activities designed and delivered by Camberwell students, including Make Your Own Stamps, DIY Peckham Flag, Book Binding, Monster Felt Hand Puppets and Collage Collection.
The Pigeon Hole Café (based in Datchelor Place, Camberwell) had a pop up stall selling their delicious food, and they generously donated a prize to our prize draw.
The event captured Camberwell’s atmosphere, community and energy – our young visitors left with the fantastic art they had made, and many wearing the T-Shirts they had designed and printed. Here are some of the images from the day.
