7 DAYS LATER: BA Design 2060 Project
2060 is a brief set to students on the Design Programme at Camberwell as part of their Unit 8. They have been asked, “What would people living in the year 2060 want you to do now in order to influence the future?” The brief is split up into three workshops, taking place across different locations over three weeks. We have a selection of images from the three workshops.
The first workshop was titled “Community”: Second year BA Graphic Design, BA Illustration and BA 3D Design students have been making work which speculates on possible future scenarios. They took their provocations to Peckham Square on Friday 22 April 2016 to engage the public in conversation on how we will interact in the year 2060.
The second workshop “Banquet” took place on Friday 29 April 2016 in the lecture hall at 1 Wilson Road, Peckham, questioning how we will eat in 2060?
The third and final workshop, titled “Body”, concluded in Lucas Gardens, Peckham Road on Friday 06 May 2016. The third workshop was based on the idea of imagining a future catastrophe and designing something to help us cope with that event.
