Biography

Matthew de Kersaint Giraudeau is an artist who makes sculptures, drawings, paintings, performances and videos. His blackly humorous work addresses ugliness, taste, and the ambiguities of language and objects.
Recent exhibitions and projects include 'Crying Shame' at Nadir Project Space (2023), 'You Are in Hell!' at Kingsgate Project Space (2021) and ‘The Noise of the Mayflower’ at Southwark Park Galleries. His work has been shown internationally including at MOMA PS1 in New York, Lafayette Anticipations in Paris, Si Shang Art Museum in Beijing, and WRO Biennale in Wrocław, Poland.
De Kersaint Giraudeau is the pathway leader for MA Fine Art: Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts. He is currently undertaking a practice based PhD at Kingston School of Art where he is conducting research into ambiguity and performance.
He was an Open School East Associate in 2014, founded The Bad Vibes Club and he runs Radio Anti with Ross Jardine. He lives and works in London.
